Black Girls in Tech (BGIT) hosted an engaging evening of financial education on 1 May 2025 at St. James’s Place Wealth Management, bringing together members of the community to explore practical strategies for building long-term financial wellbeing.
The event was designed to equip attendees with the knowledge and confidence to make informed financial decisions at every stage of their personal and professional journeys. Through expert-led discussions, participants gained valuable insights into managing their finances effectively while planning for future financial security.
Throughout the evening, attendees explored a range of essential personal finance topics, including budgeting, investing, wealth creation, and financial protection. The session provided practical guidance on developing healthy financial habits, understanding investment opportunities, and creating sustainable plans for achieving long-term financial goals.
The workshop also encouraged open discussion, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, and gain tailored insights from financial professionals. These conversations reinforced the importance of financial literacy as a key component of both personal empowerment and career success.
At Black Girls in Tech, supporting the community extends beyond technical skills and career development. Financial confidence plays a vital role in creating opportunities, building generational wealth, and enabling individuals to invest in their futures.
