BGIT hosted its inaugural staycation, bringing together women in tech to bond over sharedvalues. This retreat unfolded in the peaceful countryside of Bath at a private estate known asEden, a breathtaking location surrounded by picturesque scenery. To elevate the experience,we were treated to a culinary journey with a talented chef preparing exquisite delicacies throughout the whole stay.

We want to express our heartfelt appreciation and share the immense joy we experienced during the Community Mixer held on July 8th. The event was nothing short of amazing, thanks to the overwhelming participation and the vibrant atmosphere that filled the venue. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to connect with all of you in such a delightful and engaging way.

We are thrilled to share the remarkable success of our recent partnership with Showcode for the highly anticipated Athena Hackathon, held on July 2nd, 2023. The event was nothing short of awesome, providing a platform for innovation, collaboration, and inspiration.

On the 19th of May 2023, the highly anticipated BGIT X ASOS event took place at the ASOS HQ in London. The event featured a panel discussion with ASOS's product team, an engaging Q&A session, networking opportunities, and delightful refreshments.

BGIT Ireland Launch was an outstanding success, and we are thrilled to share some captivating pictures from the remarkable evening! 🥳 The event was filled with exciting networking opportunities, an insightful discussion led by esteemed panelists, and valuable advice that left a lasting impact. It was an occasion that should not have been missed by anyone interested in the intersection of technology and empowerment.

Black Girls in Tech partnered with Motorway to host an incredible event that brought together passionate individuals from the tech industry. The event was a resounding success, with informative talks, engaging Q&A sessions, and an amazing networking opportunity that left everyone feeling energized and inspired.

One of the most significant ways we demonstrate our dedication to this is through our annual "Tech Fest," which took place on March 18th this year. The event welcomed over 300 attendees from various backgrounds to network with representatives from 20+ companies, including Chase, ASOS, Deloitte, Selfridges, and more at our exhibition. The Tech Fest provides attendees with the opportunity to upskill, network and hopefully, walk away with a job opportunity or two!

On the 29th October , we hosted our ‘Tap into Tech’ conference for the second year running.BGIT Nigeria is an organisation with the goal of providing community and a safe space, while increasing representation for black women in the tech industry by making technology careers more accessible.

Black Girls in Tech had the opportunity to host a hackathon in collaboration with J.P. Morgan. The theme was Sustainability in Fashion, and over 60 women attended with 9 competing teams. The event was a great success and we are looking forward to collaborating further with our partner J.P. Morgan to create opportunities for even more black women within the tech space.

This Thursday the “Early Careers” event held by Black Girls in Tech and Beyond Education (BE) was designed to provide young professionals with the opportunity to learn and grow in the technology industry.The event was sponsored by BrainStation.The workshops were led by experts in their respective fields, providing attendees with a wealth of knowledge and practical skills that they can apply to their careers
